Romanian fireman wins gold at 2015 World Police and Fire Games


Fireman Iulian Pitulac, 31, from Vrancea has won the gold medal in the Martial Arts competition at World Police and Fire Games held this year in North Virginia, U.S.A. The event gathered 17,000 sportsmen from all over the world.

Iulian Pitulac, who works for the Emergency Inspectorate in Vrancea, is the only Romanian competitior that participated in the Taekwondo competition. He said for ” It was hard, but in the end it was worth it because it happened just the way I wanted. I am very happy because I have not won a gold medal in a competition since 2008. This sport is my passion and everything that means passion and work always has results. ”

Iulian became a fireman in 2007 and since then he has been participating in many international competitions and has brought home gold, silver and bronze medals.
