Raluca Serban and Oana Simion win the women’s double finals at Heraklion tennis championship


Raluca Georgiana Serban(19) and Oana Georgeta Simion (21) have won the women’s double finals at the Heraklion tennis competition, in Greece. The competition is part of the ITF Pro Circuit and has prizes worth 15,000 dollars.

The Romanian players were number 4 favourite and they managed to beat Charlotte Robillard-Millete and Carol Zhao from Canada with 3-6,7-6,10-2.

The game lasted one hour and 24 minutes.

Raluca Serban has previously won four ITF titles, one of the competitions she won it together with Oana Simion in 2014 at Heraklion. Oana Simion has won altogether 13 ITF titles.

Before playing the doubles competition, Raluca Serban has played the simple finals where she was beaten by Dejana Radanovic from Serbia.

Raluca will receive 7 WTA points and she will be classified for the first time in the WTA list which has 400 tennis players.
