Rugby player Ionut Botezatu from CSM Stiinta Baia Mare, saved a man from death yesterday, 27 December 2015, while attending a festival in Maramures county.
According to the Romanian Federation of Rugby, the rugby player was at a festival in Sighetu Marmatiei town, when two people started fighting in a violent manner. The victim swallowed his tongue and Ionut Botezatu acted quickly and saved the young man, taking his tongue out. Until the ambulance came, Ionut Botezatu also gave first aid to the victim. The aggressor has since been arrested.
