Cluj-Napoca won the European City of Sport 2018 title!

Good news for the city of Cluj-Napoca as they have just won the title European City of Sport 2018.

The title was given on the 6th of December within a ceremony that took place at the European Parliament in Bruxelles. Emil Boc, the city mayor has stated on his Facebook page that the title means a European recognition of the vision and effort of the local community in sustaining investments in the sports infrastructure, and also a recognition of the public politics of promoting sports and recognizing sports event at a national and European level organized by our city.

Cluj has previously won another title in 2015- the Youth Capital of Europe. This new title will hopefully bring more visibility to the city and a recognition at an international level.
