Doinita folk ensemble wins second place at International Culture Festival

The Doinita folklore ensemble has won the second place at the International Folklore competition in Bosnia Hertzegovina entitled the Folklore Festival of Orthodox Countries.

The competition took place between July 6-10. Patriarch Daniel and the Romanian Patriarchy have sponsored a part of their trip.

The festival has been hosting over 80 folk and music ensembles from 47 countries over the years and it is now considered one of the leading festivals of folk dances in the Balkans. The festival’s grand prize was of 5000 euros, the second prize was 3000 euros and the third prize was 2000 euros.
