Romanian students win 5 medals at International Mathematics Olympiad

The Romanian team has managed to win several medals at the International Mathematics Olympiad in Brazil.

The team has won three silver medals, two bronze medals and a mention. The sivler medals were won by Filip-Alexandru Ion who studies at the Mihai Viteazul National College in Bucharest, Mihnea-Gabriel Doica and Stefan Tudose, who both study at the International Theoretical Highschool of IT in Bucharest, Ciprian Mircea Bonciocat and Mihnea-Andrei Ocian both from the Tudor Vianu IT National College from Bucharest won the silver medal.

Alexandru Timofte from Tudor Vianu National College from Bucharest has won a mention.

The competition was organized in Rio de Janeiro between July 12-23 and over 600 young students have participated.
