Five Romanian students have won several awards at the International Physics Olympiad this year. The gold medals were won by Cristian Alexandru Frunza and Stefan Eniceicu. The silver medals were won by Denis Turcu, and the bronze medals by Tudor Cretu and Gabriel Gaitan. Thanks to their efforts Romania is now ranked first in Europe and 10th in the world, romania-insider.com reports.
The Olympiad, which was held in Kazakhstan, between 13th of July and 21st of July brought together over 190 competitors from 48 countries.
