Three students from Iasi have invented a machine that recycles leaves that fall from the trees. They came up with the idea when they noticed that there were a lot of trees surrounding their high school and a lot of leaves went to waste.
“We realised that we needed to do something in order to use the cellulose materials with a constructive purpose.This was the first step of our idea. Then we thought to use these cellulose materials as a base for growing mushrooms. The mushrooms are collected and what is left from the cellulose material can be compacted and we can build pellets and briquettes from them”, Dragos Frunza said.
The three young men plan to get financing for their project and develop it further.
