Turda schools now have a dedicated gastronome that teaches children how to plant vegetables and how to cook healthy. Marta Pozsonyi, who works as a gastronome is teaching children how to make dough for cakes, teaches them about fruits and vegetables and spices. The courses are not only helping children but are also helping local producers to promote their products. All her courses are created especially for children.
This project began when Marta noticed how her children did not have a very healthy diet and so, she came up with the idea of teaching children how to cook at her children’s own kindergarden and then continued with other local schools. So far, Marta has received an award and a grant by the Culinary Trust, New York and now she plans to open up a free gastronomic centre in Cluj.
