Five students from Cluj have won the European NASA Space Robotics competition for the 11-13 years category.
The five students from Nicolae Balcescu highschool and Iuliu Hatieganu school from Cluj-Napoca have worked half a year to develop the project under the supervision of their teachers.
Their older colleagues will also participate in the finals of another competition of Astronomy that will take place in Belgium and will be organised by the European Space Agency in collaboration with NASA.
Last year another group of students from Cluj also reached the finals after creating a programme through which satellites that take photos of asteroids can be controlled.
Another team of students have won last year the Gold Medal at the International Robotics competition held in South Korea.
