One of the cleanest hospitals in Europe can be found in Romania. More precisely, in Brasov city. Sf. Constantin Hospital has been designated as the laureate of the European Hand Hygiene Excellence Award 2013, within the WHO First Global Patient Safety Challenge: Clean care is safer care.
The hospital has also a partnership with a Swiss healthcare establishment: Hospitaux Universitaires de Geneve in Switzerland.
The hospital is also involved in international workshops that concern European standards versus national standards in hospitals. These workshops are organised by the Transylvania University in Brasov, the Medicine University and the Medics college.
The mayor of the city stated” I am glad that a Romanian hospital, and especially Brasov has won this title, given the fact that it competed with other hospitals from different countries. I congratulate them and thank you, you have our appreciation for the fact that people talk about Brasov in a positive manner.”
