Aferim!, the Romanian film drama directed by Radu Jude has won all 12 awards from 12 nominations at the Gopo awards. The movie has won the categories: the Best Movie award, Best Director, Best Actor in a Main Role, Best Actor in a Secondary Role, the Best Actress in a Secondary Role, the Best Script, the Best Image, Best Montage, the Best Sound, the Best Decorations, Best Costumes and Best Make up.
As well as winning these awards, Aferim was also the public choice for the best Romanian movie for 2015. The movie had 76,693 viewers and raised 980,144,27 lei at the box office. The movie is a historical drama that tells the story of a tax collector who, together with his son is chasing a robber. The roles were played by Teodor Corban ( in the role of the tax collector), Mihai Comanoiu (the son) and Cuzin Toma ( the robber).
Gopo also honoured Florin Piersic for his career achievements, Constantin Draganescu for his whole activity and stuntman Paul Fister a special prize.
The best actress in a main role was won by Ioana Flora for the role of Paula in the movie Home, at my fathers’. The best original music was won by Alexandru Balanescu for Magic mountain. The world is mine directed by Constantin Tanase won the best début movie award. The best documentary was won by Aliyah Dada directed by Oana Giurgiu and produced by Tudor Giurgiu. The best short documentary by Chat with Alice directed by Sandra Isabela Tent. Ramona won the best fictional short movie and the Young Hope award was won by Ana Maria Guran for the role of Larisa in the movie The world is mine.
