Classical music concert held for raising money to build telemedicine centre

The event wanted to draw attention to the fact that in Romania there are 400,000 epilepsy sufferers, however the number of people registered with this illness is much smaller than this. Neurologist doctor Bogdan Florea said for TVR that people living with this epilepsy are stigmatised by society. Moreover individuals have to travel hundreds of miles to be givenĀ a correct diagnosis. The concert was a preview of the World Conductors Orchestra that will hold several concerts in May. The money raised from the concerts will be used to establish the first centre of tele medicine for epilepsy.
