Romanian pianist honoured by a British royal college

Alexandra Dariescu is the first Romanian pianist to be named the Honorary Associate Artist of Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

The Romanian pianist, along with other prestigious musical talents, such as Tom Harrold, Mikhail Nemtsov, Kathryn Rudge and Le Yu will be ambassadors of the Music College starting from September.

Alexandra Dariescu, from Iasi is one of the most appreciated pianists in the world. She has performed on many international stages such as Carnegie Hall, in New York, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and this year she will perform in many concerts at the Royal Philharmonic in London.

She has won many awards in her career, such as the Women of the Future Award in 2013, the Woman of the Year in Romania in 2014 and since 2015 she has designated as a Special Ambassador of Romania, thus receiving a diplomatic passport.
