Torok Zsolt from Arad city has managed to conquer one of the toughest mountain peaks in the world, Ama Dablam in Himalaya. The alpinist, together with Teo Vlad and Marius Gane, has set the Romanian flag as soon as he reached the peak.
According to mediafax, Torok Zsolt said
” Teo Vlad, Marius Gane and I had the privilege to see from up there, the Everest, Cho Oyu, Nuptse, Lhotse and all the Himalayas, all that you can see from the much desired Ama Dablam peak”.
Torok is not at his first attempt to conquer the mountain. In 2008 he first tried to climb it, however he was forced to stop. The peak is 6,812 metres high and it is considered a hard one to climb.
Torok Zsolt has climbed many mountains in his lifetime. In 2013 he has reached the Nanga Parbat (8,126 metres). He has also participated at the Great Walls marathon, the Alps trilogy and K2 peak in Karakorum mountains.
