Romanian students have won 8 medals at the International Physics Olympiad 2016 held in Hong Kong.
The students have won two gold medals, two silver medals and four bronze medals. The students are all studying at the International Informatics high school in Bucharest. The winners are Dan Stefan Eniceicu and Tudor Costel Cretu. In 2014 they have won the silver and in 2015 they also won the gold medals. The silver medals this year were secured by Robert Iulian Raveanu and Andrei Catalin Raduc. Finally, the bronze medals were won by Anca Dragulescu, Ovidiu Mihai Popa, Razvan Radu and Gabriel Danut Buica.
The 17th edition of the Physics Olympiad gathered competitors from 26 countries and it was held between 1-9 May.
