Poet Razvan Tupa will be the guest of the Poetry International festival in Rotterdam. The festival takes place between June 7-11 and it is considered one of the oldest and most influential lyric festivals in the world.
The festival also has guest poets from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Germany, India, Morocco, Romania and Sweden.
Razvan Tupa, was born in Braila, and is now an established poet who has been awarded with the “Mihai Eminescu” National Award for début. The poet has published many poetry volumes, such as : Fetish (2001), Romanian bodies (2005), The Sky in Delft and other Romanian bodies (2011), Monograph of every day poetics (2015).
According to mediafax, the writer always wished to participate in this festival. The festival has had as guests many important and influential poets, such as Vasko Popa, Zbigniew Herbert, Allen Ginsberg and George Szirtes. Romanian poets were also invited at the festival in the past: Marin Sorescu, Mircea Dinescu, Ana Blandiana, Nina Cassian and Dnaiel Banulescu.
