If you love movies and history, you will love the historical movie festival in Rasnov, Romania. The festival takes place between July 29- August 7.
The festival was first organized in 2009 and is considered already part of the cultural identity of Rasnov. The event helped the town to become a tourist destination, now over 200,000 tourist per year visit it.
Entrance is free and there is also a Summer School for people passionate about history. 15 students will be able to participate for free at the ASTRA Summer school. The festival has a special competition and the winners will have all costs covered ( accommodation and meals) and access to all events within the festival.
Apart from movie shows, the festival will also have debates with ambassadors, professors, history experts, journalists and witnesses to historic events.
