Summer camps in Great Britain, English summer schools, e-readers, international camp discounts and many more were the awesome prizes Romanian students won for giving advice to adults.
It might seem strange, but this competition did award children for advice given to adults. The students were asked to write a creative essay in English at the Shakespeare School Essay Competition.
The finalists of the competition thought adults should be more flexible, to learn to adapt more easily, to do what they like, to live every moment, to accept diversity in people and opinions, to enjoy life like children and to be honest like children.
Over 3,700 students with age between 14-20 participated in the competition. The judges chosen 30 finalists who demonstrated creativity and a good English level.
The students won free places at English language camps in UK, English summer camps at Shakespeare school, taxes for the Cambridge exams, discounts for international camps, e-readers, audio books, English books and t-shirts.
The winners of the competition are : Eugen Marian Piron, student at the George Emil Palade primary school in Buzau, Bogdan-Adrian Bujoran, from Decebal national college in Deva,
According to romaniapozitiva.ro Adriana Alionte, the vicepresident of the Shakespeare School stated
” We are glad that we had the chance to discover this year also, that within our competition, that has already become a tradition in the Romanian educational field, a new generation of intelligent, informed and ambitious children, who are passionate about the English language. They have participated in this competition with much enthusiasm and wanting to make their ideas heard. We have a lot to learn from the children and young people of Z generation.”
