Men’s fencing team wins the bronze medal at the European championships

The men’s fencing team has won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Torun.

The team formed by Mihai Covaliu, Dolniceanu, Teodosiu and Badea have defeated Hungary with a score of 45-32. Previously Romania has beaten Turkey with 45-22, France with 45-42, but lost to Russia with 32-45.

The women’s fencing team have won several medals at the same competition- a gold and a silver one thanks to Simona Gherman and Ana Maria Popescu.

The women’s fencing team will also participate at the Rio Olympic games after winning the World Cup in Buenos Aires.
