Beloved actress Tamara Buciuceanu-Botez receives Excellence award for entire career

Beloved Romanian actress Tamara Buciuceanu-Botez has received an Excellence Award for her entire career in the movie and theatre industry. The award was given at the Transylvania International movie festival in Sibiu.

Director Tudor Giurgiu has handed the award and the actress has admitted that she feels very young and very happy that the public did not forget her.

She said

” I have lived two lives: mine, which will be 87 years in a month and also mine- 64 years of theatre. I feel very young, jolly, and happy to see so many people. This means nobody forgot me. And because I do not like to talk a lot unless I play or film om stage, I want to finish like this, so I will not bore you: Since I was a child, I kept thinking what I will do if anybody asks. I will start again what I have done. And when you will stop smelling the field flowers on the stage, in the evening, maybe you will ask yourselves where Tamara went. Thank you for not forgetting me”.

Tamara Buciuceanu Botez was born in 1929 and has studied theatre at the Vasile Alecsandri theatre Institute in Iasi and then at the Theatre Institute in Bucharest. She is considered the Lady of Romanian comedy and she represents the Golden Generation of Romanian theatre.
