Romanian researchers have received very good news this week. According to a new law, those involved in research will no longer have to pay taxes.
The law will be applied starting the month of August. The government has stated that this decision was taken in order to encourage more young people to join the research field and also to convince specialists to stay in the country.
The National Institute of Research and Developing of Isotopic technology, which is the leader in Isotopic separation field in the EU has shown its enthusiasm for the new law. The prime minister said that the changes in the fiscal facilities in the IT field have developed the field and is hoping that the same changes will also help the research field.
The researchers at the National Institute said that young graduates tend to avoid joining the field due to small wages and perhaps this change in law will attract more people.
