Ovidiu Avadanei from Emile Racovita National College, Iasi city has won the silver medal at the International Mathematics Olympiad in Hong Kong.
This is the 57th edition of the olympiad and over 100 countries have participated. Paula Gavrilescu, the director of the college noted
” Ovidiu is an exceptional student who, despite the fact that he loves Maths, he did not ignore his holistic development, thus obtaining remarkable results at other subjects as well, this year he is also the valedictorian of Emil Racovita college. ”
His teacher and coach, Catalin Budeanu said that since 2009 Ovidiu has had very good results at the Mathematics national olympiad and at the Mathematics Balcanic olympiad and that he is very happy to have had him as a student.
