Simona Halep wins Rogers Cup

Simona Halep won the Rogers Cup yesterday, July 31. Simona has beaten Madison Keys, from US, in two sets (7-6,6-3).

She has previously beat Daria Gavrilova from Australia (6-2,6-3), Karolina Pliskova from Czeck Republik (3-6,6-1,6-1), Angelique Kerber, from Germany with 6-0,3-6,6-2.

Simona Halep will also play the doubles competition at the Rogers cup, together with Monica Niculescu. They will meet Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina from Russia, in the finals. Simona Halep will receive 500,000 USD for winning and 900 WTA points.
