A fun new festival for families and children has already started today. The International festival of pop-rock and opera for children and teenagers is hosted at the Palas garden, Iasi city and will end on August 14.
50 children from 12 countries participate at this competition and the winner of the trophy will participate for free at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Long Beach, US in 2017.
The festival takes place every year and this year competitors from Romania, US, UK, Sweden, Malta, Bulgaria, Moldova, Italy, Lithuania, Serbia and Switzerland are going to perform on the stage. Competitors have been selected at auditions throughout the year.
The competitors will sing on an open air stage on 12 and 13 August . The award ceremony on August 14 will also have special guests. The jury of the festival is composed by national and international artists: Alessandra, Ligia Cosoi, Anastasia Lee (US), Martin Degabrielle (Malta), Rumiana Nacheva (Bulgaria), Daina Bileviciute (Lithuania) and Andrei Boaghe from Moldova.
