Romania qualified for the finals of women’s epee competition at Rio Olympics this evening. The Romanian team- Ana Maria Popescu, Simona Deac, Simona Gherman have managed to beat Russia in the semifinals.
The team has beat Russia with 24-23.Historically, Romania’s team has won 9 Olympic medals in fencing.
The team will now meet China in the finals today.
