Over 600 artists dance together at Romania’s largest interethnic festival

The beautiful town of Sighisoara has celebrated national minorities this weekend.] in a festival called Pro Etnica. This is one of the largest festivals in Europe to promote minorities.

More than 600 Albanian, Turkish,  Greek, Italian, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish and Romanian artists danced together with tourists in the central market. The festival also included workshops, art exhibits and also film shows.

The public was able to participate in debates on national minorities, such as the Greek community, Turkish and Czech community. The festival is meant to promote Romania as a model for the protection of national minorities.
