People that chose bikes over cars in Targu Mures city were rewarded with a free breakfast.
The Mures Comunity foundation and the Pro Biciclo Urbo Association have developed a project called Breakfast for Bikers. Thanks to this project people that cycled on their way to work were given a free breakfast.
The project was inspired by a similar one that took place in Hungary. the project was a success as a large number of people biked to work for a week. The organisers were hoping to reward at least 50 cyclists but they managed to offer free breakfast to more than 80 people in 2 hours. Many of the cyclists, however, did not stop to eat as they were in a hurry. Those that stopped managed to get a hot coffee, a croissant and sweets.
