Romania has won one gold medal and three bronze medals at the European Table Tennis Championships. Daniela Dodean Monteiro with her Portuguese husband Joao Monteiro have won the gold medal in the mixed doubles competition. They have beaten Mattia Karlsson and Matilda Ekholm from Sweden with a score of 3-2.
The bronze medal was secured by two teams- Ovidiu Ionescu and Bernadette Szocs and Daniela Dodean and Elisabeta Samara who won the medal for the women’s doubles competition. Elisabeta Samara has also won the bronze medal for the women’s singles competition.
The championship took place this year in Budapest.
