Between November 1-6 a humour festival takes place in Bucharest. The festival called Caragiale’s Bucharest has six days of theatre, music and film.Caragiale is a beloved Romanian writer and satirist and is well known for writing funny theatre plays that criticize society and politics.
The festival is organized at the Comedy Theatre, Amena studio, Bulandra theatre, Metropolis theatre and the Jewish state theatre.
The theatre plays are directed by Alexandru Dabija, Gelu Colceag, Doru Ana and Victor Ioan Frunza. More importantly, entrance to the shows is free
