“Stela Popescu” theatre has won the big trophy at the International Folklore, Dance and Music Festival and Competition “Vienna Stars”. The festival took place between November 2-5.
According to AGERPRES, Romanians singers and dancers have received the Grand Prix trophy and many other diplomas and distinctions at the festival. This is the third time the theatre is being awarded since it has been established six months ago. The theatre has previously won the Nurnberg and Veliko Tarnovo prizes.
The festival had 25 shows and competitors came from many countries, such as Russia, Poland, Ukraine, Armenia and Belarus.
“Stela Popescu” dancers have performed several traditional dances such as “Calusarii”, ” Batuta moldoveneasca” and they have also sang Moldavian songs.
