Romania has won the second place at the European Cyber Security championship. The competition was organized in Dusseldorf, Germany in November 7-11.
The event was dedicated to individuals with IT skills and it is an initiative of the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA). All European countries have participated in this competition with teams formed of 10 people- 10 seniors ( between the age of 20-30) and juniors ( age 14-19).
The Romanian team was trained by Bitdefender and managed to win the second place. Before heading to this international competition, the team has participated in a national competition. The national championship was organized by Bitfender, Orange Romania and Q-East Software. The selection of the team was done by testing their knowledge on web security, cyber attacks, cyber defending and cryptography, network traffic analysis as well as public presentation simulations.
