Revolution Festival has reached the finals of the European Festival awards. The Timisoara festival has been nominated on two categories: Best New Festival and Best Small Festival.
This is the only festival from Romania that has been nominated this year. The nominated events have been voted by over one million people.
Revolution Festival has started in 2015 and on its second edition in 2016 it has become more popular.
Other festivals that have been nominated are Bluedot and Common People, UK, Download Festival Paris, Exodus Superior Hardcore from Germany, Extrema Noir from Belgium, I love techno from France, Mad Cool Festival from Spain, Mandala Festival from Netherlands and Polar Weekend from France. The second category has several festivals nominated: Nites festival, Belgium, Amsterdam Woods Festival, Netherlands, B my Lake Festival, Hungary, Chant du Gros, Switzerland, Freemusic Festival France, Happiness Festival and Reeperbahn Festival, Germany, Snowbombing, Austria and Ypsigrock Festival, Italy.
Ivan, Milivojev, one of the founders of the festival is also nominated for the excellence awards, together with the representatives of the Sziget festival, Lolapalooza and Pohoda.
In 2015 Untold festival which takes place in Cluj every year has won the Best Major Festival. The winners of this year’s festival will be decided next year, in January.
