Cosmin Andrei from Galati and Radu Andrei from Braila have won the bronze medals at the International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics in India. The Olympiad took place between December 9-19 in Bhubaneswar, India.
The two students are members of Astroclub Calin Popovici which functions within the Astronomic Observatory of the Nature Museum in Galati.
They have been preparing for many years for this olympiad. They usually study at the planetarium and at the astronomic observatory of the museum. The museum has a special program that prepares students for the olympiad.
234 students from 42 countries have participated at the Olympiad.
In October Radu has won the gold medal at the International Astronomy olympiad in Bulgaria.
