Teodora Albon amongst top 10 best women referees of 2016

Romanian football referee Teodora Albon was voted amongst the best female referees of 2016. The top was made by IFFHS ( The International Federation of Football History and Statistics).

The referees were voted by football experts from 56 countries around the world  in the 5th Annual IFFHS Women’s Awards.The best referee was considered Katalin Kulcsar from Hungary, the second place was taken by Katarina Monzul and third by Bibiana Steinhaus.

Teodora Albion got the sixth place in the top. She has been a referee for Romania since 2003 and she has participated at the Champions league in 2013. In 2015 she participated in many games at the World Cup in Canada and she had the best performance in the final tour of FIFA Women’s World Cup 2015.

In 2016 she also participated at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
