Handball player Cristina Neagu was voted the best woman handball player in the world for 2016. The player has received the title after she received the highest number of points. She was voted by an international jury of handball journalists on the website handball-planet.com
This is not the first time she received this title, as she was also chosen the best player of 2015 and was also voted World Handball Player of the year 2015 nu the International Handball Federation.
Cristina Neagu has beaten Heidi Loke from Norway, who also won the title in 2014,2013 and 2011. The third place was secured by Nora Mork from Norway, with 61 points, Kari Grimsbo from Norway with 52 points and Eduarda Amorim from Brazil with 47 points.
