Romanian movie nominated for the Cesar awards


Romanian movie Bacalaureat directed by Cristian Mungiu has been nominated for the Cesar awards for the best foreign movie category.

The movie has already won the best director award at Cannes movie festival last year. The movie will compete with Aquaris, a Brazilian-France production directed by Kleber Mendoca Filho, Toni Erdmann a movie directed by German Maren Ade and produced by Romanian Ada Solomon, I, Daniel Blake, directed by British Ken Loach, Manchester by the Sea directed by Kenneth Lonergan, La fille inconnue directed by Dardenne brothers and Juste la fin du munde directed by Canadian Xavier Dolan.


The winners will be announced on February 24, two days before the Oscars.
