
A Spanish Magazine has chosen Bran Castle and Peles Castle in Sinaia as one of the most beautiful castles in Europe.
El Pais magazine has made a list of 20 castles, including the Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria, Ashford Castle from Ireland, Chillon castle in Switzerland, and Trakai castle in Lituania. Bran castle, which made the list had over 800,000 tourists last year and 500,000 of them were foreign. The castle has become famous around the world because it resembles Dracula’s castle. It is situated 170 km from Bucharest and only 30 km from Brasov.

Currently, the castle is owned by Prince Dominic Habsburg-Lothringen which is the grandson of King Ferdinand I and Queen Marie of Romania. Peles castle which also made the list is 140 km from Bucharest and used to be the summer residence for King Carol I of Romania.
