Tudor Aaron Istodor has won the Shooting Stars award at the Berlin International movie festival.
The Romanian actor has won the award together with other nine actors. This special event was organized with the purpose of raising the profile of young talented actors in the film industry. The young actors take part in speciality workshops and meet members of the International Casting Directors Network, and filmmakers.
The actor was praised for his sensitive naturalism when acting and for his warm humanity. Tudor Aaron Istodor has studied acting at the Caragiale University of Theater and Cinema Art and has started in movies such as Rouges sont les reves, Cadences obstinées and Ash and Blood, Miss Christina and Fixeur. He has also played Edward II in a BBC series called The Plantagenets.
The other nine actors that were selected for the award are: Zofia Wichłacz, from Poland, Louis Hofmann, from Germany, Italian Alessandro Borghi , Hannah Hoekstra from The Netherlands, Maruša Majer from Slovenia, Esben Smed from Denmark, Victoria Guerra from Portugal, Karin Franz Körlof from Sweden, and Elīna Vaska from Latvia.
