A Romanian NGO has set up a charity bread box for poor people that cannot afford to buy food. The box was set up in the city of Satu Mare.
The box will be filled every day with loaves of bread by the foundation but locals are also invited to donate loaves of bread if they wish. The only rule is that the bread needs to be packed. The foundation also asks those who pick up the loaves of bread to take as many as they need but to leave enough for others that may be hungry.
The Maurer foundation got the idea of a bread box from a group of priests from Constanta who also set up a bread box.
If you live in the area and you wish to donate bread, the box is located on George Cosbuc street number 4.
