
Six Romanian photographers have managed to reach the finals of the Sony World Photography Awards 2017.
Over 227,000 photographs from 183 countries are competing this year. The winners will win Sony photo equipment worth 30,000 dollars. The winners for the Open category will be announced on March 28 and the winners of the Professional and Youth category on April 20.

The Romanian photographers have reached the final 50. Adi Bulboaca has reached the finals of the Architecture category and Ioana Moldovan the Daily Life category. Other photographers that reached the Open category finals are Alex Andriesi, Radu Dumitrescu-Elian, Sorin Rechitan and Taciu Rares. Ioana Moldovan, one of the photographers that reached the finals is a freelance photographer and writer. Her photographs have been published by the New York Times, Al Jazeera, the Huffington Post, LensCulture, Radio France International and Vice.

The photographs will be exposed in London, between April 21-May 7.
