Romanians win 35 gold medals at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions

Romanians were awarded 35 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 27 special distinctions at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva 2017.

The exhibition took place between March 29-April 2nd and it is considered one of the most prestigious events in the field of inventions.

40 inventions were selected by the Research and Innovation Ministry in Romania to be presented at the exhibit. 8 Romanian inventions were presented independently. The independent presentations have managed to win 3 gold medals and 2 silver medals.

Over 2,000 inventions from 40 countries were presented this year. The inventions were represented by companies, universities, state organizations and private researchers.

PRIZE OF THE WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ORGANIZATION (WIPO)

awarded by Mr Quan-Ling SIM, Chief of Communication and Relations with PCT users, to Mr Mihai Raceanu, Romania

for a device and method for monitoring electrical low voltage systems in order to discover dysfunctions and risks of fire

PRIZE OF THE TURKISH PATENT INSTITUTE

Awarded by Mr Salih KOCA, Head of the delegation,
to Mr Hossein Neishabouri, Iran
for an impulsive induction heating contactless de-icing system
to Vladareanu, Munteanu, Sireteanu, Dumitrache et al, Romania for a method for speed-positioning control, in 3D space

 

  • PRIZE OF THE STATE AGENCY FOR INVENTIONS AND TRADEMARKS OF ROMANIA – OSIM
    awarded by Mrs Tatiana Radu,

to Batalu, Semenescu, Costoiu, Anoniac et al, Romania

for their semi constrained total elbow prosthesis made of metallic shape-memory material, meant to replace the joint

to Mira Technologies Group, Romania
for a transportable detector for luggage screening
