Romanian tennis player Monica Niculescu and Su-Wei Hsieh from Taiwan have won the doubles at the WTA competition in Biel Bienne in Swtizerland. The competition has prizes worth 226.750 dollars.
The couple has managed to beat Timea Bacsinsky and Martina Hingis from Switzerland with 5-7,6-3,10-7.
The players have won 280 WTA points and 12,300 dollars. This is the eighth time Monica Niculescu has won the doubles titles. In 2009 she has won the title in Budapesta where she played with Alisa Kleibanova from Russia, in 2012 she managed to win the Hobart competition together with Irina Begu. In 2014 she has played with Klara Koukalova and has won the Shenzhen and Hobart competition and in 2016 she has played together with Vania King in Shenzhen, with Yanina Wickmayer in Washington and in New Haven with Sania Mirza from India.
At singles competiton Niculescu has won 3 titles: in 2013 at Florianopolis, in 2014 at Gunagzhou and in 2016 in Luxemburg.
