Romanian student wins US art competition


Filip Saitis, a student at Christian Life high school in USA has won the 2017 Wisconsin Art competition.

US Congresman Paul Ryan has awarded the student on April 1st during a ceremony in Elkhorn. The ceremony has brought together students, friends, families and art teachers. Filip Saitis’s artwork is called Expunged.

Paul Ryan stated that Filip should be proud of his achievement because many talented artists have competed this year with amazing artworks. The congressman congratulated Filip, his family and his teacher for their accomplishments. The competition takes place every year and the winning piece is selected by several judges. Students from different US states compete and the competition gives them the chance to become more known on a national level. The winning piece from every district is showcased on the US capitol for a whole year and million of visitors are able to see it.
