The International Day of the Book is celebrated these days in Timisoara with a beautiful initiative. For three days, if you read on the bus you are travelling for free.
The event is organized by Youth Creativity and Cartile pe Fata. The organizations are trying to encourage people to read in public spaces. Travelers who carry a book receive a special tag from the volunteers who will also be on the buses.
The event takes places between April 19-24. The event also includes a free book club which will be held on Monday at the Carturaresti bookshop.
