Florin Morariu, a Romanian chef who lives in London has sheltered 20 people during the horrific attack in Borough Market, London, yesterday. The chef hit one attacker over the head with a bin. He then started recording the events around him and posted the video on Facebook.
In the video you can hear shouting, police officers and a lot of commotion.
Florin Morariu works at the Bread Ahead Bakery in Borough Market. According to the Telegraph, he said
We were looking out of the window because we saw that everyone was agitated, everyone was running, people, women… they were fainting, falling and we went outside to see what was happening.
He also said that he saw two attackers stabbing people and he froze and he didn’t know what to do. He quickly recovered and went to hit one attacker on the head. The police told everyone to clear the area and then according to Florin Morariu the police threw a grenade so he ran.
After letting 20 people inside the bakery he closed it and pulled the shutters down.
