Romania seems to be a popular location for shooting movies. It might be the fact that Romania has many beautiful landscapes and it is quite cheap.

The movie called The Sisters Brothers directed by Jacques Audiard and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly will start shooting in Romania in September. The movie production team is now currently looking for extras. They are looking for children, men, women and also different nationalities like Romanians, Chinese, Spanish, Russians, Mexicans and Africans. The age is between 16-70.

The movie is co-produced by Mobra Films and one of its founders is famous director Cristian Mungiu.

The movie has a western theme and it is based on a novel called The Sisters Brothers written by Patrick deWitt. The movie says the story of Hermann Kermit Warm, a gold prospector who is pursued by two assassins through the Oregon desert.

The movie was already partly shot in Spain this year. According to Romania Insider, the movie director has been previously to Romania in 2015 as a guest to the Les Films de Cannes a Bucarest festival organized by Cristian Mungiu.

The company that coproduces this movie also produced Mungiu’s famous movie 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days.
