Romanian athlete Elena Andreea Panturoiu has won the gold medal at an international competition in Poland.
The Romanian athlete aged 22 has become the best in Europe at triple jump. The second place was taken by Ana Peleteiro from Spain with a performance of 14,19 meter while the bronze medal was secured by Rouguy Diallo from France with 13,99 meters. This is the first time Elena Andreea Panturoiu has won a gold medal at an international competition. She has previously won silver at the junior European championships in 2013 and at the junior European championships in 2015.
28 Romanian sportsmen compete in this competition, 20 male and 8 female. The European Athletics championships is held in Bydgoszcz, Poland.
