Romanian boxer Daniel Dumitru has won the gold medal at the European Boxing Championships for juniors, the 76 kilograms category. The boxer has managed to beat Valeri Tadtaev from Russia.
The bronze medals went to Borna Loncaric from Croatia and Muhammet Tayyar Turkoglu from Turkey.
Another Romanian boxer has won the silver medal in the 105 kilogram category after he was beaten by Dmitro Beniuh from Ukraine. The bronze medals went to Aleksandr Fomicev from Russia and Zsolt Dudas from Hungary. 19 boxers from Romania have participated in this competition and in total Romania has secured one gold medal, a silver one and five bronze medals. The bronze medals were won by Eusebiu Iulian Tirzoman, Marco Antonion Manea, Andrei Mustet, Stefan Panaitescu and Dragos Constantin Guzga.
The competition was organized in Ramnicu Valcea.
