The first beach for people with disabilities in Europe is set to be established in Constanta.
The beach will have a therapeutic purpose and it will be located on the North Promenade. The beach will have special areas for 100 beach chairs, two areas with a capacity of 1000 places for people that want to enjoy the sun on towels.
The beach will also have access ramps, a stage for events, a garden, a hydration point and playground areas. There will also be areas for visual, touching and auditive stimulation and also a sensory alley.
For those who want to enjoy an activity, there will be a pottery workshop. As well, there will be floating wheelchairs and a first aid point. Volunteers will care for children from morning till evening.

The project is set to be finalized until next summer in May and it is estimated that over 100,000 people will visit the beach. Currently, in Romania there are over 780,000 individuals with disabilities.
